Brentwood Lake in Twain Harte is located at South Fork Rd& Middle Camp Rd in Twain Harte, CA 95383.
It is a PRIVATE MEMBERS-ONLY lake. Lake members must keep their gate cards in their own possession and cannot grant access to guests who might be renting their cabin. If they do, they risk losing their lake privileges entirely.
There are only a total of 206 members and to get membership, one of those members has to sell their membership directly to you. So there is a very long waiting list for membership. You do not need to live in any particular community in Twain Harte, nor do you even have to live in Twain Harte to have membership.
Membership is $10,000, however members can sell their membership to someone privately for however much they wish. Once you’re a member, there is an annual fee of $250 for unlimited access to Brentwood Lake. You renew your membership at Brentwood Lake every January and receive access in April.
Brentwood Lake is ½ mile around and there is a nice walking path all the way around. There is a fence around the lake to keep non-members from coming in and a key card system to allow access to members.
There are no restaurants or shops at the lake, but you are welcome to bring outside food and drink into Brentwood Lake. In the main table, there is electricity so you can bring a crockpot or any other electronic device to cook. There have been weddings and other events held at Brentwood Lake over the years. If you are interested in hosting an event with friends and family, you just need to let a member of the board know to make sure there aren’t any other groups who want to have a big party. You may not bring a dog or smoke inside Brentwood Lake.
Starting the first week of July, Brentwood Lake hosts a potluck with bingo every Thursday night until mid-October. Bring a main dish to share and try your hand at BINGO! To kick off the summer season, Brentwood Lake also hosts a BBQ.
Brentwood Lake stocks the lake with trout every year so that families can spend quality time together teaching their children how to fish. Since it is a private lake, you do not need to have a fishing license, however Brentwood Lake only allows 5 fish to be caught per day per membership.
You may store your boat at Brentwood Lake, but it has to be a non-gas boat. Storing a boat costs $50/year. Many people bring floaties, paddleboards, etc. to enjoy the lake.
Brentwood Lake can get busy especially during the middle weekends of July and summer holidays, however it is never too busy. With a small amount of members, and a lot of space, Brentwood Lake iseasy to enjoy.
