Pinecrest Lake is a 300 acre lake owned by Pacific, Gas, and Electric Company located 30 miles east of Sonora and about 20 minutes from Twain Harte. From the Bay Area, it’s about 2 ½ hours -3 hours. It is located at 5,600 feet in elevation. The lake is stocked with rainbow trout and has a local grocery store.
